For the error message :

"

Error getting RFC destination for logical system XXX 100

Message no. SMSY_PPMS_API044

"

Please do as follows to analysize and solve this issue:

1, Please logon as the user who configure the Solman system and its

monitored systems, this user should have the authorization object

S_RFCACL,S_RFC and S_TCODE in solman system and satellite systems.

2, Please make sure that you have followed the standard process to

generate the connection between the Solman system and its monitored

system XXX, client 100 by using the "create new system with assistant"

3, After create the XXX system, please do as follows to examine the

remote connection is feasible or not:

SMSY -> Systems -> SAP ECC -> ECD -> SAP ECC Server ->Specify the

line of client 100

-> click the "Check RFC Destinations" button .

Please let me know the result if the issue still persists.

AM sure this will solve your issue.

SH- We are on SPS20 so those notes are already in the system.

Shyam- When I created the RFC's in SMSY I used the "Generate RFC Connection" wizard and it returned all green. The RFC's were generated when we were at SPS14 and are working fine for our BW Charm landscape. For some reason ECC is not functioning. When I do the "Check RFC" in SMSY everything looks fine. I will try deleting all the RFC's and re-do the generation and see if that helps.

Thank you for your comments.

After working with a developer in SAP Germany the issue was resolved. It was simply going into SMSY in change mode and re-saving all the systems in the landscape component. We tried to delete and re-create all the RFC's but this did not work, only re-saving the system at the high level worked.

I am having the exact same issue after upgrading from 7.0 SPS14 to SPS20. Have you gotten any resolution from SAP on this?

Hi Anjali,

I have checked the logical sytem also. The RFC's are defined for the correct client only.

I have given the read system data also. everything is fine. but dunno why this is not coming in solar_project_admin.

kindly share your views in regard to this issue.

Hi AP,

AS Mentioned earlier. I have given the logical component with coreect system with client. Somewhere else is the problem.

'Logical System' and the 'Logical Component' are two different things

In SMSY, while defining system or RFCs, the logical system corresponding to a client of a system might had been specified incorretly. As AP said earlier, just check it and confirm.

Hi Krishna/Raja,

Thanks for your replies.

I have checked the link the problem is similar only but in that thread also i could able to link any points.

and I have gone through the notes....all are somewhat pointing to product(ours is ECC6.0) and correct product version only is used in the logical component.

we have one more landscape similar to this but it is working fine without any problem.

but dunno wht exactly is the change.

Kindly guide and let me know if any clarifications required.

Subhashini.

Hi,

If you search for SMSY_PPMS_API in SAP notes search.

Around 30 notes are coming. Pls look into the note relevant for the particular error.

Hi,

Check your SMSY settings whether the system/client is assigned with all types of RFCs.

Check the assigned Logical component for the system/client is it appropriate and same is assigned in that project

feel free to revert back
