retail function

Hi experts,

I am enhancing a material in MM02 and I have added the cost of the material in the tab "Accounting 1": standard price field. However, when I tried to save this change, the error message is shown as bellow:

"You must use retail functions to process the material xxxx."

And I checked the error message and it says the material is created as retail material master, therefore, it may be maintained only using the special retail functions because the data will otherwise be inconsistent.

I have searched for the relevant info in the forum and nothing really useful is found.

In retail Article Master maintained. Use following T Codes

MM41 Create Article

MM42 Chang Article

thank you for your reply. The problem is that I also want to enhance the manufacturer for the material and thus i can not use this transaction.
