Hi SDNers,
PI 7.1 is possible to connect to MDM 7.1. Is PI 7.0 possible to connect to MDM 7.1?

You can transfer data between PI and MDM via below two ways.
1. Using File transfer (FTP)
2. Using MDM Java API.
File transfer is the standard way that was followed till MDM 7.1. Using this file transfer, PI post/polls file to the MDM syndicator/import manager using an FTP connection.
MDM 7.1 has MDM PI Adapter which post/polls data using MDM Java API. To use this ur PI 7.0 should be minimum SP15.
Hope this would help you to decide to choose the transfer mode.

Hi Saravanan,
All teh steps are clearly mentioned in teh document I have given. You can also see this sams document for the same:
Its pretty straight forward. In MDM console the port needs to be configured automatically. You need to give the repository and tables details in teh mdm communicaiton cahnnel.
