what is the purpose of saprouter. why we use it. and i got msg from sap for renew the saprouter.

how can i renew it.

The SAP Router is software provided by SAP.

The use of the same is to allow and open remote connection for sap to access your system to help you to resolve some issue.

Your certificate has been expired. You can verify the validity of your certificate using the following command

sapgenpse get_my_name -n validity

SAP Provide Certificate for SAP router which are valid for one year and that is near to expier so you have to re-new one from the SAP Service Marketplace, which is valid for one year.

Follow below steps

1. On your SAProuter, save your existing PSE file and old certificate file (e.g. local.pse, cred_v2) under different names

2. Go to the http://service.sap.com/saprouter-sncadd

Click on "Apply Now!"

When i appy the certificate there is asking some querry

*Copy & Paste the following highlighted text and use it as the [Distinguished name] parameter in the sapgenpse program running on your SAProuter to create the Personal Security Environment (PSE) and Certificate Signing Request (CSR).

CN=HOLDEV, OU=0000699260, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE

Insert the Certificate Signing Request

1. Copy the Certificate Request generated with sapgenpse from the text file.

2. Insert the Certificate Request in the following text field

3. Choose Request Certificate*

where i can find this name

I have already generated file. after paste the file in the box under the u201CInsert the Certificate Signing Requestu201D

there is giving some error.

Error - Applying for a certificate for SAProuter

The certificate for SAProuter cannot be issued.

1.The submitted Distiguished Name (DN) does not match the DN contained in the request for the SAProuter certificate.

2.Click on Go back.
