Dear Experts,
Can anyone give me a list of details on what information does the SBO-COMMON database contains? and how important is it to individual company databases
Much Thanks in Advance!
Warmest Regards,
Chinho
Hi,
The SBO-Common is the core database used in the B1 architecture to store and distribute information common to all company databases. It also stores binary information including the B1 client and the OBServer (used by add-ons and the SDK) and it also stores information about the License Server.
Only one SBO-Common with a specific DBVersion can be restored on a SQL Server and it should keep the naming convention u201CSBO-Commonu201D. When connecting to a company database the B1 client or any add-ons using the SDK will look for this database to retrieve specific information.
(The SBO-Common does not contain the exact PL version, but only the DBVersion is mentioned. In addition, SBO-Commons in the range of PL for a DBVersion are identical, except for the binary data it stores.)
SBO-Common database also holds 3 version parameters stored in SINF table.
u2022Version, AppDate, AppTime
u2022The SBO-Common does not hold the patch number. The AppDate and the AppTime determine the patch level.
Hope this is helpful !
