XI: target as xml file

hi all,

i need to send an idoc from ECC to XI, and the output should be a XML file,

for example: an example.xml file on my desktop..

but i dont know what to do after i set the source part to the idoc i imported to XI,

how do i get the target to be a specific XML file in my computer?

Hi,

XI manage xml so if you import the IDOC in XI....so you have the file in xml and u only have to configure your receiver communication channel in Integration directory...(NFS or FTP) with the directory of your desktop D:\Documents and Settings\<MyPC>\Desktop\

I hope you have done rest all the step successfully else search on sdn this is very basic scenario you will find step by step guide..

In order to get the xml file on your computer you need a FTP adapter (which you can download if you don't have) or else use the NFS mode in you receiver File Communication Channel. Just configure it and you will the file at your desired location.

P.S. Using NFS mode can write the file only on XI server directory, which you can see by using tcode AL11.
