Xi/Pi Support Package Levels

Hi All,

We have a query on Support Package levels in the landscape.

Is it mandatory that XI/PI system Support Packages needs to be in Higher level than the other systems (BI 7.0,ECC 6.0 with EHP4,CRM,SRM etc....) in the Landscape.

Please clarify.

Not as far as I know.... Is a good idea to keep the environment at the same level.

Where did you read that statement?

We heard from one of my Tech leads .So just for confirmation we want to know the same.

As per my knowledge is not required... and by any means not mandatory.

Now if this is a good practice or not I don't know... I'm not an XI expert, but I can't see any reason to have XI with a higher SP/Stack level than any other system.
