check file before uploading

Hi All ,

I have file upload option in my web dynpro application. from security point of view i want to check file for macros or html tags inside doc before uploading it on server. please suggest me tutorials.

Hi,

I don't think there is any standard way of doing this. I can remember that I once checked for XML Tags when downloading the file to Excel. In that case it was done to avoid any special characters that were not downloading properly.

You can use this forum as reference and extend it to suit your requirement.

To check the macros and html tags, you need to write your own code to find it .
