3 party logistics transport company - shipment creation -mapping

I have a scenario where my company is a 3 rd party logistics transport provider. In this i send a truck to my customers location and pickup parcels from them and then i combine these customers parcels into one truck . Then i send it to the destination point from where again i distribute the stocks to individual customers just like a courier company.

My question is how do you create shipment for this and what will be preceding documents to create the shipment such as sales order and delivery???

Because in the above scenario i am both the company as well as forwarding agent..

Hi,

Did you give thought of APO's Vehicle scheduling and Transportation module? As in my previous project one transportation company was handling their process very well by this. I dont have much knowledge about APO, just have a search and you may get good hints.
