I was referring to the installation document for Solution Manager EHP1
labelled "Installation GuideSAP Solution Manager 7.0 including SAP
Enhancement Package 1 on Windows : IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows"
The document version is 1.10 dated 2009-04-30.
It is understood from the - 'Part 1.1 New features' section that the
Installation of Solution Manager EHP1 supports only 64 bit Windows
platforms for all instances and 32bit only for dialog instances. Please
let me know then why does it show Windows 2003 32 bit is supported
in the 'Product availability matrix' at service.sap.com/pam.
Kindly let me know asap, if 32 bit platforms is supported at all for
Sol Man EHP1. We want to install the default ABAP+Java stack for Solman 7 EHP1.
Regards,
Nick
32 bit supports only the NW SR1 and SR2, but from SR3, only 64 bit support is there.
For more information on SRs, refer the following Note
SAP Note 774615 - Support Package levels of ERP/ECC installations/upgrades
I guess, for Solman 7.0 upto some SP, it used to support intallations on win32, but for EhP1 now it supports only 64 bit. In any case, SAP recommends every new installation now on 64 bit. You have to go for 64 bit.
