We have a scenario, where we want to send Payroll data to our Payroll vendor, who also uses SAP. We are looking at Idoc2Idoc communication in this regard.
As this is confidential data, client is worried about the data safety. What are measures taken to prevent the confidentiality.
Did anyone do this scenario? What will be the industry standard?
Can anyone please throw some light on this

Hi Naveen,
We used the SOAP adapter to do same scenario for payroll. You can go for that.

Hi
We have implemented the same scenario at a customer location where he wanted to exchange delivery related idocs with his business partner. To take care of the security issues, we have enables SSL (Secure Socket Layer) on our integration server and hence using http(s) connections in SM59.

Hi,
if you have a VPN connection with the vendor it will be as safe as the VPN connection
you just have to take care of authorizations to view messages on both ends (in XI, ERP)
if you're thinking about some other safety features you need to use some other adapter
(not IDOC) but SOAP for example
