Should we use Portal server for webdynpro development also???

Dear all,

We are planning for some 30 odd webdynpro development which will be put on portal.

We are not planning to set up typical JDI for this. but we will use local development for our purpose.

If there is any SAP recommended way (preferably with pointer to official info site)for server.

Ideally we should have a local server for all developers, but we are planning to put a central development server and later deploy all objects on portal server.

Can you share your experience on the same.
