I wonder if dev_* files can be deleted if space problems occurs in /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<SYSNR>/work

You can sort by date and can delete older logs. Only thing is that you wont be able to see those logs..

If you short by File Types, then all the "Old files" can be deleted

Hi Jan,

Deleting dev_* files might help temporarily.. but remember that these are the development traces of the particular process. and before a new log file (dev_) is written the previous one is renamed and then new one is created. The dev_ log files automatically get overwritten.

Anyways, you should look for core dump files which is generally created in work directory. if these are really old files, you can delete them safely.
