Inter company drop shipped item is not shown in MD04

Hi experts,

we have a development in sales order where we can select the delivery plant for the item entered in VA01/VA02. During the inter company drop shipment, if the plant is changed with our development, the requirement is not getting displayed in MD04. If the plant is changed manually, requirement is getting created in MD04.

Please anybody let me know the process, how requirement is created in MD04 when new item is created/added in sales order?

When your development is updating/changing the plant code do you still have the same requirement type for existing order item? requirement type could be based on the MRP type defined for the material in the material master at the plant level.

We are getting the problem only when new item is added in the Sales order. What is the role of Plant here to transfer the requirement to MD04?

MRP area field at item level is driving the requirement to MD04.

Hi

It based on the Availability check, the plant will transfer the Requirement to the Requirement list MD04.

It will ensure the Planner to decide on whether to Make to stock or make to order.

There in the list - MRP element will show you whether the stock is a PRd ord/Delivery /Order.,etc.
