SAP Driver for Dolphin 9500 Series Mobile Computers

Dear Experts,

We have implemented an MI application for Equipment Inspection scenario for client..

DOE Middleware Version is 7.1 with Support Pack 7

NWDS Version is 7.1 with Support Pack 7

NWMClient Version is 7.1 with Support Pack 7 Patch 4.

Now our client wants to go for barcode scanning. The scenario is like below:

A search screen with input field will be displayed. Search input field is based on Equipment tag id. Barcode label containing the tag id will be pasted on Equipment . On barcode scan on Equipment , scanner picks up the tag id and it reflects in the input field of the search screen.

Our Client wants to use their existing mobile computer, Dolphin 9500 Series with Pocket PC 2003, powered by Honeywell's Adaptus imaging technology. This mobile computer has inbuilt barcode scanner.

Following are my questions:

1. Is SAP driver mobile component is needed at all for the scenario mentioned above or will installation of device native drivers are enough?

2. If SAP Driver is needed then, is it available for Dolphin 9500 Series with Pocket PC 2003?

There is no need for SAP Mobile Component as such. As the input has to be taken in Wedge Mode, we can simply enable the ScanWedge.exe POWER TOOL available from Honeywell site. By using the ScanWedge power tool, scan engine of Dolphin 9500 series will always be in enabled mode.
