Exempt Cots Element at Settlement

Dear Experts,

Is there is a way to ignore a set of cost elements when performing Settlements.

Ex: Project A has following consumption postings during the month of August:

Cost Element Value

700 1000

710 2000

720 3000

Settlement Rule = Settle 100% for a Particular AUC

Requirement - Only to settle posting from cost element 700 and 710.

Very Much Appreciate your guidance.

Dileepa.

Dear,

If you do't want to settle at 720 cost elements then remove this cost element group from Allocation Strature in Settelemet Profile.

Regards.

Hi,

The requirement here is you need to consider costs of elements 700 and 710 for posting in to AUC and not costs in 720.

However, project can carry costs only temporarily, ultimately you have to settle cost from project to other recvr.

In allocation structure for source cost elements 700 and 710 set recvr category as AUC and settle by costelement or thru a settlement cost element as desired. Also settle cost from source 720 to a cost center or a inter order whichever is suites you. Generally Cost center is used.

All Non Capitalized costs can be posted to a cost center and Capitalized costs to AUC.

Thanks
