Inventory Dataflow

I am looking at the dataflow for an Inventory multi cube. There are two source systems, one is the BW system itself and the other is R3. The details are as follows

1) From the BW system a number of cubes have been included in the multicube.

2) From R3 data is coming from the MSEG table

What I am not clear on is that all the datasources from the BW system are Z datasources and not 8. How is this the case and how could these have been created since there is not the option for RS02 in BW? Thanks

hi Niten,

first, there is option RSO2 in BW, remember BW can act as source system itself or to other BWs.

we can create generic datasource in BW.

not sure understand your question correctly,

you can see dataflow by right click infoprovider/multiprovider 'show dataflow'.

hope this helps.

Hi Niten,

I have not understood your question: you can not have datasources for a MultiProvider, it is only a logical structure, not phisical. You can' t upload data in a Multicube.

Would you please explain better the problem ?

Ciao.

Hi Niten,

if you create datasources in BW by right clicking on data target then it will create with name 8*

if you go to RSO2 in BW & create your own generic datasource based on BW objects like table then you can give it your own name say starting Z.

hope it helps
