Hi Glen,

which MaxDB Webtools are you using? You should be using the ones provided by SAP (see note 892271).

Edit:

the integration is described in note 806503.

Roland

hi roland

at the moment i am not using any webtools. i am not even using the MaxDB manager. i do not want to load the MaxDb manager as i saw at sometime, the databases can me managed via the sapmmc through a web interface. by clicking on the database symbol "blue disk drive".

here is my default profile

SAPDBHOST = XENA

j2ee/dbtype = sap

j2ee/dbname = NSP

j2ee/dbhost = XENA

j2ee/dbadminurl = http://XENA:9999/webdbm?Server=XENA&Database=NSP&User=control

SAPSYSTEMNAME = NSP

SAPGLOBALHOST = XENA

rdisp/bufrefmode = sendoff,exeoff

#----

  1. SAP Messaging Service for ABAP

#----

rdisp/mshost = XENA

rdisp/msserv = sapmsNSP

rdisp/msserv_internal = 3902

login/system_client = 000

this is a Netweaver 2004s Sneak Preview - NSP.

i tried to use the j2ee/dbadminurl value in my web browser, but that did not work, just came back as a "Page cannot be displayed" it tries but to no avail.

the database is up and running in the sapmmc.

i also have a j2ee installation, this time from the java engine side of the Netweaver 2004s Sneak preview - J2E.

here is it's default profile

SAPSYSTEMNAME = J2E

j2ee/dbname = J2E

j2ee/dbtype = sap

j2ee/dbhost = XENA

j2ee/dbadminurl = http://XENA:9999/webdbm?Server=XENA&Database=J2E&User=control

and again i tried the admin url http line which has the exact identical response as the previous

it is like the J2E webdb entry in the sapmmc actually tries to open an http command, wherease the NSP just does nothing. i think i have tried to modify the NSP webdb entry and messed it up.

anyway, the J2E should work. but right now, none of them are working.

i cannot help but think this must be configureable, and should even work from the web browser, outside the sapmmc initially.

cheers

by the way, the 892271 note is not release to me, however the 806503 note is not quite helping, but did get me a tad further.

thanks

glen
