MDM -Workflow

Hi Experts,

I want to create a sample workflow. In data manager workflow table is inactive. I can't select it.

What is the pre requsit if I want to create a simple workflow.

How could the table will be activated in data manager?

Hi Shalini,

Pre-requisites:

1. WorkflowInstall_ver setup is to be installed in your machine which is the workflow engine and available in MDM Installable inside GUI Clients

2. Microsoft Visio Professional for designing MDM Workflows

For MDM5.5. which. version need to be installed?

HI Shalini ,

If you are using MDM 5.5 then your workflow component will be there with the package or the build version. So install that.There should not be version mismatch.And for visio 2003 can be used .I think you can try with viso 2007 also.It should not give problem

Hi,

As a prerequisite you need to install,

1. MDMWorkflowInstall .exe which can be downlaoded from Services MP.

2. Visio 2007(for MDM 7.1)

It will definitely work.

Hi Shalini,

Workflow plugin is missing from your system, just install the Workflow Plugin and you will be able to select the Workflow table in Data manager.

Hi Shalini ,

The way you install console data manager etc in your system the same way you have to install the workflow component which

has come along with your build.And also to work on the workflow the microsoft visio should be there.
