Missing tablespace in dbsize.xml

Former Member

We are executing BW3.5 via R3load, we encountered ora-00959 missing tablespace during import for the BW related tbs psapsidODS,psapsidFACT and psapsidDIM. Upon investigation we found out that these tbs were not defined in the dbsize.xml.

Is this a bug or there is something extra to be done for BW 3.5 system copy. We've already excuted smigr_create_ddl and copied the <tabart>.sql to the DATA directory and updated to the latest r3szchk.

Hi,

I have noticed this when I have done a system refresh of 3.5 BW system in the past...Is it a bug ? or a SAP feature!

I have got round it by adding the Tablespaces either in sapnst for the import ....Or the first time just like you, create the tablespaces using sadba/brtools and re-running the failures.

Hi ,

Please check the DBSIZE.XML generated on the source system.

If it has missing tablespaces , regerate the file using the command as

login as <sid>adm

*R3szchk -t <dbs> <SID> <REL>

dbs --> target db type

Reuse it in case of error by copying it in the /<exp_dir>/ABAP/DB/<DBS>

This should solve the error.

Always use the latest patch of R3szchk compiled on a very recent date.

I think that mixture of lower and upper cases in the tablespace name is causing the problem. Maybe using " " can help.
