Hi,
Is it possible to set the list of allowed file types when user clicks on browse button for uploading the file for file upload UI element.
Rwegards,
Raj.
Hi Raj,
At the selection time from the specified location you cannot restrict the user to select some set of file types. However once he has done the selection then you can check whether the file type user has selected is according to the required set of filetypes or not.
There will be a small check for the file type and then you can achieve what you want. I hope this helps you! If you have any further questions in this kindly feel free to revert back.
Thanks and Regard,
Pravesh

Hi Raja,
Ya I have understood the problem, however as I said it is not possible as far as I know. The way Anup told might just help you after you select the file for the checking its type explicty. The maximum you can do is to use the WDWebResourceType+.<File Exten>, as the Constant file which has the list of the all file types.
But as far as I know there is no way to restrict the user to select any file type while the browse option is opened.
I hope this clears your doubt. Kindly revert back in case you need any further informationon this.
Thanks and Regards
Pravesh
Hi Raja,
I don't think so, we have functionality to restrict this at browse time, but surly we can restrict once we able to read the file.
using this sort of code.
wdContext.currentContextElement().getFileName(), WDWebResourceType+.<File Exten>,+ true)
Hople it will help you
Thanks
