Hi

if you want to create iview in portal first yoy should have sufficient priviliges.

for creating iview content_Admin role is required. Thn only u can create Iviews and pages .

ifu dont have this role just consut u r portal administrator or Basis consultent

or if u have user administration rights

thn goto user administration->identity management

there u can search u r user name

once u found u r user thn there is two tabs avilable there assigned roles and availble roles first see in u r assighned roles for content_admin role if not thn in avilable roles u cna get thn click on add button

thn its added t o ur asigned roles

Thn u can create any kind of pcd objects(iviwes, pages, roles, worksets)

how t ocreate iview in portal

login to the portal with user name and password

thn in toplevel navigation u can see content administration if uhave a conten t admin role

click on content administration

portal content->right click on tht ->create new iview

Thanks

Hi

I'm using NW 7.0 on WinServer 2008 x64.

I cant create IViews. The one and only visible option is to create a folder. Now I'm kind of puzzled because being logged in with super_administration_role should give me sufficient rights to create IViews, Pages.... ;-/

It's a completely clean install with MaxDB / Java AS / EP & EPC

I hope u can assist me!

Thanx Juli

solved.

Firefox 2 causes the problem... go for IE 7 and u'll have no probs

PAM says something about FF 2.0 compatibility - so don't trust PAM

Hi Pavani,

Content Administration>Portal Content>right click on Portal Content folder -->create iview.

If you are creating iview for webdynpro applications then select Webdynpro java application Radio button and select the appropriate webdynpro application.

or u can go for any iview templates.

Hi Pavani

I think there is in-sufficient permissions to the user on the applications folder

System Administration -> Permissions -> Applications , right click on the folder and open permissions. Then assign the content_admin_role to this folder.

Thanks
