No update of field USEDSIZEPERCENTAGE of table DATASTATISTICS

Hello,

we are using a MaxDB 7.6.00.33 for a Content Server. Because there is no SAP an so no CCMS we monitored the database by script and Nagios. On of the dbmcli commands selects the field USEDSIZEPERCENTAGE of the sysinfo table DATASTATISTICS. Unfortunately the database got in state DB_FULL without recognized by our monitoring. A root cause analysis result in the fact, that the field USEDSIZEPERCENTAGE still had the value 13%.

Does anyone knows why this field is not updated anymore? All other fields of the table DATASTATISTICS seems to be up to date.

Thanks,

Norman Stoer

Hi Lars,

the PTS you mentioned could be the problem. But for the condition in this PTS I'm not sure, because we have values of USABLESIZE and USEDSIZE with only 8 digits instead of 9 as said in the pts.

A content server itself runs everytime without a SAP, this means on another host... Sure there must be a SAP to fill the content server. And in this SAP we will integrate the standalone DB of the content server, so that we'll have a CCMS-Monitoring.

However, Thanks very much for your help.

Regards,

Norman

Hi there,

hmm... content server without SAP system? No idea how that is supposed to work...

Anyhow - you're using an acient version of MaxDB 7.6 and seem to hit the bug of [PTS 1142134|http://maxdb.sap.com/webpts?wptsdetail=yes&ErrorType=0&ErrorID=1142134]

So, install the current patch 7.6.06 and this should be fixed.

BTW: you may also use the DBAnalyzer to have your database monitored.

regards,

Lars
