what is difference between the rolling basis and rolling period??
senerio--- my clients are forecasting for 18 weeks, on rolling basis, every month.
there have modification of forecasting in every weeks.
how sir??

Hi Dally anusha,
Rolling cycle commonly refers to the change of forecast data in various buckets
with respect to time.
Say for example, if you are planning for 18 weeks rolling period and if you are
doing rolling based planning, then from this week onwards, system will plan for
next 18 weeks.
As you go on to the next week, the rolling cycle commences for 18 weeks
from next week ie 18 + 1 -1
During this rolling period, the system considers and plans forecast at that
point of time and considers any changes during this period.
