Startup problems with SAP Services -

Hi, I am trying to start-up my SAP system ECC 6.0, Windows 2003 Server SR2 and SQL Server 2005. On MMC, no icons appaers (just SAP system icon), when I check services on control panel, SAP Services are not running.

When I try to startup showme following message:

"Can not Start the SAPPE9_00 service on local computer

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"

I copy and paste the command on service and execute it on DOS:

D:\usr\sap\PE9\DVEBMGS00\exe\sapstartsrv.exe pf=D:\usr\sap\PE9\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_cprderp

then I get the following:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click ok to terminate the application"

I check:

- sapmmc.dll, is ok.

- I copy kernel files from another server (with identical hardware and versions) and I get same result.

- Task manager and there is not any SAP process (disp+work.exe).

- Task manager, and memory is ok, I have enougth available.

- Logs (D:\usr\sap\PE9\DVEBMGS00\work), but any logs appaers with today date, is like these services do not generate logs.

- event viewer and just indicate one service fail, nothing more.

- Parameters files at profiles(D:\usr\sap\PE9\SYS\profile), and they are like last time system was up, no changes after system was running.

- SQL Server, and I see ok DB and tables.

Later, I ran:

C:\Documents and Settings\pe9adm>sapstart name=PE9 nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=cprderp -wait

sapstart=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

Start service SAPPE9_00 on machine
cprderp

StartService of SAPPE9_00 failed. Error#: 1053

Cannot connect to DCOM Interface of Start Service: -2147023843

Reading some posts, I check SAP note 142100, but neither of points is like mine.

System was has been running for many months, just today does not startup.

Please if you know another steps or some log for read.

Regards.

JOSe

First try to kill all the process ( if any) running under SAPServiceSID from task manager..Try to restart SAP from MMC

If does not help, try to restart the server and then start SAP from MMC.

if still getting problem check Note 82751

Hi, I has restart server many times, remember that at MMC I haven´t any icons.

I read note 82751, and neither cases apply to my problem.

Regards.

try to re-configure the mmc by adding the snap-in, to get the sap systems list in mmc
