Conflicts Between Add-On ST 400 and Support Packages

Dear Experts,

I am getting following while applying patch 17 basis 700 for my solman.Also i have applied till patch 17 of ST 400. I have added Patch 18,19,20 of ST 400 in queue but it is again not visible in system. My kernel level is 201 .

Phase ADDON_CONFLICTS_?: Explanation of Errors

Conflicts were found between the Support Packages that you want to

import and the Add-Ons installed in the system. To guarantee the

consistency of your system, the import is interrupted until all Conflict

Resolution Transports (CRTs) for the listed Support Packages are

included in the queue.

To include the CRTs in the queue, proceed as follows:

- Write down the Support Packages and Add-Ons that have conflicts.

- Leave this screen by choosing 'Cancel' (F12).

- Load the CRTs for the Support Packages with conflicts from the SAP

Service Marketplace or request them from your Add-On supplier.

- Define the extended queue again in the Support Package Manager.

- Import the queue. The Support Package Manager executes all steps from

the beginning.

If the problem involves an SAP Add-On, see SAP Note 53902, which tells

you which CRTs resolve the conflicts. Otherwise contact the supplier of

your Add-On for details on how to proceed.

The following contains a table of Support Packages for each Add-On for

which conflicts were detected. The column 'Information on the Conflict

Resolution' specifies how you can resolve a conflict. For more

information, select the corresponding 'Information for the Conflict

Resolution'.

Please suggest me solution for this. I also tried applying patches till level 5 of ST-SER 700_2008_1

Still not able to apply patch 17 and getting same error of CRT: NOT Supported.

Dear Gyan,

If you read full thread you come to know that if you want apply SP 17 of basis then its not possible means you have to upgrade your system to EHP1.

As per SAP they are not going to provide CRT for SAPKB70017 instead you have to go for EHP1 of solution manager.

1. 1245992 : SAP_BASIS 700 Support Packages and Solution Manager 7.0

You can no longer import SAP_BASIS 700 Support Package 17 (SAPKB70017) or above. No physical Conflict Resolution Transport (CRT) is available to eliminate this conflict (and there is no plan to provide such a CRT).

Instead, you must upgrade to Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1.

Hi,

We also update our Solman from SP13 to SPS17 and we had lots of problems with ABAP.

Please fallow this Note 608277 - SAP Solution Manager content add-ons

There is an attached SAR file which is corresponding to yourST-SER version.

You will need to add this file in SAINT transaction in order to be able to update all necessary components requested by SAPKB70017 .

hey i did check the note and downloaded the attached ST-SER_700_2008_1.SAR but it didnt solve my problem.

My ST-PI is at 2005_1_700 level do i need to upgrade it to 2008_1_700? and then apply patch 17 of basis.?

As per SAP they are not going to provide CRT for SAPKB70017 instead you have to go for EHP1 of solution manager.

Yes you have to update to ST-PI 2008_1_700 and than apply BASIS packages.

Hi...

Importing - ST-PI 2008_1_700 will not suffice our requirement.

we had similar issue and achieved with EHP1 upgrade

..ST-18 , 19 ..so on...demands to upgrade SMGR to EHP1.

I added 2 screen shots - Before & After EHP1 upgrade for your ease of understanding

Solution Manager 7.0 with ST-17 and it is maximum (further ST's can not be imported)

SPS17 means BASIS SP16 andABAP SP16, if his gonna install ST-PI 2008_1_700 than he'll be able to update until SPS17 after that he must go with EhP1 if he wants to go newr then ABAP+BASIS SP16
