Unable to load repository-No error messages

Hello

Newbie here for MDM.

I have an archived repository from another MDM server which I am trying to load into a new server.

I am able to unarchive and connect to it.

When I Load==> immediate the icon turns from "stop" to "blue arrow"..then after a few minutes goes back to "stop" icon on the repository node.

There are no error messages in the server logs..

Any ideas?BTW running MDM 7.1 on windows with sql server 2005

Thanks

Hi

Try updating the repository followed by verify and if you get and fatal errors do repair also.

Then run verify again, there should not be any fatal errors in the report.

Then load the repo with Update Indices option.

best regards

Hi Sankar,

In addition, check whether you have sufficient disk space on which your MDM server is installed. Also, you can get the exact reason in the Logs(attached to MDM Server). Select Logs -> Server and check the reason of not loading the repository.

Try the following options -

1) Verify/Repair, Update the repository and Load it with with Update Indices

2) Unmount the Repository, then mount it on some other port and then load

3) Delete the existing repository, Create new blank Repository, unarchive your repository on this new blank repository

4) stop/start MDM server

Regards.

===>Still unable to load

2) Unmount the Repository, then mount it on some other port and then load

==>Still unable to load

3) Delete the existing repository, Create new blank Repository, unarchive your repository on this new blank repository

==>Same as above

4) stop/start MDM server

==>IN the process of starting the server..some hiccups with authentication

Will update this post when I have more results.
