We are having issues with scanning something into WebDynpro transactions on an Intermec handheld. It is cutting off numbers and/or missing some in the middle. When using other applications on the gun, it scans fine. It's only when using the WebDynpro transactions that we get the problem. We've tried using different guns and still get the same result.
What can we do to fix this? Is there anything in code or in the WebDynpro application itself to fix this?
Here are a couple of examples of what it scans.
When trying to scan a UPC code that actually is "SSA0020W060" we get the result "SSA0020W"
The second one is supposed to be "8000006297", we get "8000000297"
These are examples, it differs ever read where items are dropped. The field is large enough to handle the data, and when typed in it works fine.
On the same device, using AWT Mobile Infrastructure, we get the same result.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian Timothy
Hi,
if you want to use mobile devices you have to take Web Dynpro Java.
This means that the mobile addon library ui elements don't work with WD ABAP
kind regards

We learned this is a known problem with Intermec OS pack version 2.x They have a fix in the works, but it is not officially released yet.
