EBP PO output medium selection

Hi All,

I am creating a PO in SRM 5.5 version.The output medium is being taken as 'EMail' by default for PO .

I have checked in SPRO settings

SRM - SRM server-Cross Application basic settings - Set ouput actions and output format.

but here the default medium maintained is 'Print' for PO.

Hence there is a discripency in default output medium selection.

Please let me know how can we set the default output medium and also is there any other transaction where i can check for this settings.

Hello Pavithra,

Default output medium used for Purchase Order comes from R/3 Vendor Master standard communication type (which one is replicated to SRM).

In your case, if default output medium in a PO is 'E-mail', this means your vendor has 'Internet mail' as communication type.

You will have 'Printer' by default only if your vendor has no standard communication type.

So, if you want to have always 'Printer' as default output medium, according to your customizing 'Set ouput actions and output format', don't maintained any standard communication type for your Vendor Master.
