Hello,
Here and there I still find questions about how to build or find internal reports within an R/3 Retail system.
Even so the RIS (Retail Information System) is not supported anymore by SAP you are able to create your own or use standard delivered reports within the R/3 system.
Note: Here we are talking about how to report without the use of the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) system! Also, the dates on the documents and the timeframe the documents are talking about are outdated - the contents isn't!
Now: Here is a collection of u201Coldu201D documents talking about the use of RIS, how to migrate from RIS to BW u2013 advantages of BW towards RIS etc.
Most important is that you can find how to activate and how to create your own information structures, how to use atomic concepts to avoid possible performance problems for the Retail ERP.
Also: If you are one of those u201Cold guardsu201D used to program ABAB Reports and you do have more material like this u2013 let me know and I will publish it. There is much more out there but with time I lost a lot of Documents.
Thank you and take care.
Markus
P.S Special login details are required to access the documents on the Service Market Place (SMP credentials required).

Hello,
that is correct. Like I wrote:

But that is with every document we "publish": You need to have a user and password to enter SDN or the service marketplace. While you can search for relevant SAP Notes on any SAP solution or product in SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/notes, you need an SAP customer or partner user ID to access SMP.
SDN currently replicates only Notes from certain components into this public network.
Here is a link if you forgot your user and password:
