Hello,

I am working on SMD configuration.

From SMD - Extractor FWK Administration, I get the list of Extractors.

Example :

EXCEPTION ANALYSIS (UPDATE ERRORS)

I have some questions :

1. May I create my own extractor ?

2. Does the extractor depends on the SAP product ?

Example : if I start the Workload Analysis of an PI system, do I get the same extractor list

deliver for an ECC6 system ?

3. Where does come from the Extract List data source ?

I have a list of extractor in SMD - Extractor FWK Administration.

1. E2E_CCDB_ABAP_TR_EXTRACTOR_CTS (CONFIGURATION (ABAP))

2. EXCEPTION ANALYSIS (SYSLOG) (EXCEPTION ANALYSIS (SYSLOG))

3. ...

Are they maintain in the BI_CONTENT from SAP Solution Manager ?

Hello,

By reading guide, I got the answers :

1. I will be able to create my own extractor from Ehp2 from SMC.

2. Yes, the extractor list depends on the product. You have different extractor for a PI system than and ERP one.

Standard support of using own BI customization will be available with EHP2.

Please read OSS Note 1365123 wich explain the SMD and Wily IS Strategy.
