SCM technical upgradtion

Hi Guys,

I worked in SCM 5.0 support project , i am going to work SCm 7.0 technical upgradtion , i want to know the role of functional consultant in technical upgradation, and please give me some test scripts also .

HI,

Even its a technical upgrade as a APO consultant our role is major then basis team

Basis will just update the software and live cachesetup and etc.

As a consultant, we need to make sure bothe new fucntioality and existing or working as exprected or not.

And There is a lot of things to be realised befor going to upgrade from us.

We first need to upgrade the sand box and test all the possibilites and then we give green signal to do the same in Dev system.

any how business will do thier testing in Quality only

There are few things we need to make sure before during and after the upgrade, i wil try to send it to you.. i am not able to find the file

R/3 Integration testing

CIF integration configuration check

Activate CIF and check for R/3 integration

Check that user exits are active and BADi's

APO to R/3 transfer Check

Compare and reconcilation check between R/3 and APO data

BW Integration testing and APO Cube check

Test loads from BW to APO

Repair sourcesystems in APO and BW RSA1

Check for the RFC connection to BW and R/3 *OSS 961512

Activate Infocubes - run report RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE OSS - 588986 Choose Object Version D in section Infocube: Options.

Run the RSSM_HASH_ENTRIES_CREATE report for all requests (using the corresponding parallel processing). OSS 906789

run the RSSTATMAN_CHECK_CONVERT_DTA and RSSTATMAN_CHECK_CONVERT_PSA reports (also using sufficient parallel processing). OSS 906789

Activate update rules and transfer rules use program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for transfer rules

Validate Remote infocube system assignments RSA1

Recreate Indexes and Stats on DP Planning Area backup infocubes RSA1

APO DP and SNP check

Check live cache connectivity

Check all the Planninag areas and recreate time series

Call transaction SPAU to adjust modifcations to repository objects

Run /SAPAPO/RCIFRESTART to restart stuck queues

Live Cache VALIDATION (Orders and Inventory) - STO, Sales Orders Spot checking data against R/3 data

Run program /SAPAPO/SCC_WORKAREA_ACTIVATE OSS 621192 - Select "retain work area"

Adjust \ recreate variants /SAPAPO/RLCDEL, /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZ

Adjust PA datasources - /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_EXTR_DS_CHECK OSS 684929

Activate delivered objects - /SAPAPO/TS_D_OBJECTS_COPY OSS 684929

Activate the Master Planning Object Structure (MPOS's)

Build Indexes and Stats for MPOS's

Re-build the variants for creating CVC's

Generate the CC's based off of the backup cubes

Build Indexes and Stats for MPOS

Create Time Series objects for PA (initialize planning area)

Turn off Livecache logging

Load DP planning area's from backup infocubes
