Hi All,
Our current planning books (macros) are setup to make Stock on hand = 0 if it becomes negative.
There have been some questions from client on allowing stock on hand to be negative so that the optimizer could plan to cover these shortfalls in future.
I have a couple of questions.
1- Does the optimizer consider negative projected stock?
2- Can you think of any adverse impacts of this change
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Zeeshan.
Hi Zeeshan,
Well Optimizer does consider the negative stocks for the purpose of planning hiwever these settings are maintained in the Material Master in ECC side. There is no side effect to this in the planning process, but can have adverse effect in stock reconcilliation.
Thanks,
Harsh
