Deactivate SMD and Wily introscope

Hello experts,

We have recently copied a BI system from our productive landscape to our sand Box landscape, the source was included in the SMD/Wily landscape.

We do not need it in sand box, furthermore Java parameters in the instance.properties include some reference to wily and make error in the server0 start, so Java engine can not be started up.

I have already deleted the bad reference in the instance.properties file , but each time i restart SAP engine, all bad reference come again.

What can I do to always exclude this parameters in the instance.properties or enabled the SMD/wily process?

Hi Thibaud,

In order to avoid the errors in server0 start and have Java engine up and running,

Please remove the java paramters related to Wily/SMD in the configtool .

In configtool

Cluster data <> Instance_IDxxxxxx <> Server_IDxxxxxx

Here remove the java parameters of wily/smd and restart the system and this would solve your problem.

you can also try un-installing wily agent using,

Login to diagnostics -> Diagnostics for managed system -> Introscope agent
