Authorization Limits

Hi,

I'm new to the whole SAP environment, and not sure if this is the right place to be posting my thread.. but here it goes.

I'm an internal auditor and I need to check compliance of purchase orders being entered in the system. Each user has a limit on the amount of the PO he/she can enter or approve inside SAP. I want to check if users are overriding this control by placing 2 or more POs for the same vendor, same product on the same day.

I have a tool called Direct Link which can access the SAP tables, but it doesn't tell me which table contains the authorisation limits for each user. I know that the tables EKKO and EKPO are the ones with the PO details.

Basically I need to map each transaction in the PO table to the authorization limit of its creator/approver.

I hope that makes sense.

In addition to that, I would appreciate any tips on how to better get started on understanding the SAP environment, starting from the very basic.
