Hi,
I read in a doc of pi 7.1:
Local SWCV objects cannot be used in any configuration in the Integration Directory nor can they be transported
if they cannot be utilized in ID, for what purpose we can use local swcv objects.
is it only for testing message mappings in esr? are there other purposes?
thanks for your inputs.

In order to createe a SWCV need to have access to SLD (which is admin job..) and access cannot be provided to developers
so in order to explore things no need to go to SLD and create the same ,which can be done using the local SWC

nothing required in sld.. its good, but i feel even better if were able to use the created objects in ID.

yes it is only for testing purpose, basically to get the look and feel of how the things are in SAP PI7.1
normally freshers in SAP PI7.1 are asked to practice in Local SWCV.
