base unit of measure

hi friends..

we have a material whose base unit of measure is in meter and valuation unit is kg, i have maintained conversion also..

but in our case the conversion is varying, i mean sometimes 1m can be 5kg and sometimes 1m can be 4kg...

if i have ordered 50 m, if i make migo in kg, the order unit should not change,

i mean if i make a GR for 400kg or 500kg the stock should be updated with 50 m only..

hope my querry is clear...

Dear Amit,

As per standard SAP, what ever conversion rate you maintained in MMR, will prevail and you are not allowed to enter any new equation in MIGO. If you maintained 1Mtr=5Kgs and you received 4Kgs, system will update only 0.8 Mtrs. But suppose, you entered 1 Kg in MIGO, system will take the receipt as 5Kgs only.

Hope this is clear. Kindly close the thread when you receive a satisfactory answer, along with giving suitable points which encourages the consultants to reply promptly to your questions.

Regards.
