Deactivating WM

Greetings!

Can you please list the prerequisites for deactivating warehouse management component for a storage location .

Is the any SAP OSS note listing the prerequisite? Please advise.

Hi,

In my opinion you should do somehow the reverse of WM setup:

0. "Clean" the warehouse (process all TR, PCN or delete them, make order in the interim strorage types, etc)

1. Remove all the stock from the SLoc (e.g. stock transfer to another SLoc - MB1B + 311)

2. Detach the WH from the SLoc (SPRO > Enterprise Structure > Assignment > LE > Assign warehouse number to plant/storage location)

3. Move the stock back to the original SLoc

4. You should consider the archiving of transactional data (TR, TO), you can aslo delete master data (e.g. control cycle, bin, WH number).

Hi,

PCN is posting change notice - using trx LU04 you can see them. PCN can be created e.g. from SLoc to SLoc stock transfer if the SLocs are assigned to the same WH, when the material stock type changes (releasing the goods from QI to unrestricted stock), material to material stock transfer, etc.

This is similar to LB10 where you can see and starting to process TRs - it is set in WM/IM interface wheter TR or PCN (or nothing has to be created as a result of IM movement) >> SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types.
