Change existing variables in BI query, any impact on Uni?

If I remove existing variables in BI query, should I refresh Universe? Should I do something with related Universe? Please advice.

Hi,

You need to refresh the universe in any of the following case concerning the BEx query:

<li> Add, remove, change SAP variable

<li> Add, remove, change Characteristic / Herarchy

<li> Add, remove, change key figure

Hi All

I have created Xcelsius Dashboard On BO Universe , which is connected to BW Query.

Now we added new component or object to BW Query , but its not updated in My BO Universe.

Universe Structure is not refreshed. Please provide me solution? , How can i refresh the BO Universe in BOXI R2?

I canu2019t recreate New Universe, because I have created 12 Qaaws on BO Universe and its huge binding of data to the Xcelsius.

I am working with Business Objects XI R2

Hi Anitha,

The universe refresh structure is available still BOE XI3.0 and iis unfortunately not available in XIR2.

If you cannot migrate to XI 3.x I suggest that you create a new universe based on the BEx query and copy the new objects form the new generated universe and paste them in the existing universe used by the XCelsius dashboard.

Another solution is to create manually the new objects in the univzerse.

These are the only solutions to solve your problem.
