We have just applied a hotfix on our MDM production server.
After, the hotfix I have tried to unarchive the repositories from a2a files created just before the hotfix. I am able to unarchive the Customer and Vendor repositories with no issues.
But I am getting an error message "Unable to unarchive the MDM_MATS repository".
The log shows this message "Unarchive could not obtain target DBMS Catalog" for the Material repository.
I have tried completely deleting the repository .Mdf files from the database and unarchive again. Same issue.
I am able to unarchive the same a2a file to a different repository name. Just not MDM_MATS.
Since this is a production server, we cannot change the name of the repository now.
Can any of you help me with this issue?
Pari.

We resolved this issue by removing an entry for MDM_MATS in the Ai_CATALOGS table at the database level.
This was an orphan record still present in the database even after deleting the repository.
SAP advises that the best way to delete a repository is through the console, since t will clean up all record of the repository.
