DIP: Material Determination error

Hi Forum Colleagues

This is regarding RRB, there is a dynamic material ex.8123456 for which no Activity Type is assigned (in value column) and there is no set.

I have material determination criteria which has Activity Type, cost center, cost element, personnel number selected with sequence number 1 mapped to Activity type and 2...3..4..respectivily.

Now when I run DP91, ideally when no activity type is asigned to dynamic material in (odp1) the same material should not get determined in DMR/CMR. Pls. correct me. But it is happening, no sure why...

Could you also pls guide me if material determination can be done in several ways in RRB.

Hi,

Try with Tcode DP90

If you have the same problem, assign the cost element (set) of the activity type (used in your service order) in the material determination of your service material 8123456. Let us know your feed back

Thanks for your respons. Just to give you more info, following criteria for material determination (8123456)

Char Set Value

Activity Type No set assigned No value assigned

Billing form No set assigned No value assigned

Cost Center No set assigned No value assigned

Cost Element No set assigned No value assigned

Personnel number No set assigned No value assigned

I do activity allocation using KB21where in I mention activity type, cost center/element/WBS.

Now my question is, if I do not have any set or activity assigned to dynamic material 8123456 as mentioned above, this material should not get determined in DMR/CMR. Right? But it is getting determined.

Following is the selection criteria for sources

Activity Type ZB09_DP_ACTIVITY_TYPS

Billing form

Cost Center

Cost Element ZB01_DP_COST_ELMNTS

Period

Personnel number

Transaction Currency

Unit of Measure

When I am running DP91, I see 8123456 getting determined... WHY?

Issue Resolved.

Problem was surfacing due to blank dynamic materials with no assignment of either SET or Value. By running t code ODP2A, it gave extensive analysis and consistency check of all the dynamic material and I did a clean of all blank materials.
