Long term inspection

Hello Experts,

Scenario,

1. MICs have been created of both qualitative and quantitative types.

2. None of the MICs have been ticked for Long term inspection.

3. Some of MICs are single results, summarized, scope fixed, not fixed.

4. Some of quantitative MICs are created as incomplete.

5. Inspection plans have been prepared and regular inspection lots are generating.

Requirement,

Long term inspection has to be activated for all the materials. (materials having inspection plans with usage as 5)

Steps I followed,

1. All the MICs have been ticked with long term inspection by using CWBQM transaction code with current working area as Q_TSK_000000000010.

2. Input parameters to CWBQM have been given in proper way.

3. By this mass maintenance all the MICs in inspection plan have been ticked for Long term inspection.

4. But if we look through QS24 MIC shows no tick for long term inspection.

5. This is okay. This above procedure worked fine when I tested with one case.

6. But it is not working now. System is not changing status to LTIN.

What thing I am missing here?

Dear Anand

Had you completed the result recording of the long term inspection MIC and then given the UD ? If this is the case then you will not get status as LTIN

Thanks Gajesh and Sujit,

I was missing following,

RR was done for alll the characteristcs up to status 5. Hence lots were not showing LTIN status.

If at least one of the characteristics is open (not reached to status 5) lot goes to LTIN status.That solved my problem.

Hi

In addition to what Gajesh hsa said

when you forcefully complete the char then status LTIN does not remain for the lot.

When you only valuation & complete (status :5) then status LTIN can be seen.

I hope this will add some value.
