Client Export Import SCC8 SCC7

Dear All,

I am planning to schedule a client export from Production system to Quality system for complete transactional data and customization. But, I am having following confusion.

1. Will I have to create RFC connection (other than TMS generated) for Client export(scc8)/Import(scc7)?

2. Will I have to do RFC System Check/Repository Comparision?

3. My both system have 40GB each for /usr/sap/trans? But, I hope total data will be 100 GB aprox. What will happen?

4. Will scc8 and scc7 run Simultaneously ??

5. Should I go for Export and Import with SAP_ALL Profile? Lokking at following Facts.

A. Production System (source)

AIX

DB2 9.1

ECC 6.0 SR2

Kernel 700 patch 185

PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 Level -> 18 Support Package-> SAPKIPYJ7I

ST-PI 2005_1_700 Level -> 02 Support Package-> SAPKITLQI2

Rest are Equal/Same.

B. Developement System (Target)

HPUX

DB2 9.1

ECC 6.0 SR2

Kernel 700 patch 111

PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 Level -> 01 Support Package-> SAPKIPYM01

ST-PI 2005_1_700 Level -> 06 Support Package-> SAPKITLQI6

Rest are Equal/Same.

Please let me know concrete solution.

Hi,

No RFc required for vlient export and import.

2. Will I have to do RFC System Check/Repository Comparision?

You can perforform Remote client copy test Run from SCC9(Test run and check what all table are missing.)

See therequest will be created some wat about 10 GB for 100 GB data.

4. Will scc8 and scc7 run Simultaneously ??

First Run SCc8 and have the export from the target system and then copy both requet thet are crested in the target System trans and thenfirst import the two request in the target system and after import is done then run SCC7 in target system.

I have a doubt regarding profile SAP_ALL.

Why copy the client-independent objects?

Wouldn't that replace the client-independent objects in teh target client? Affecting other clients of teh target system?

Nope. It will copy only the client dependent data.

SAP_ALL- All client data except change documents (see note 180949) and local data is copied.

Ans - The generated data will not be 100gb.

Ans - no

Ans - yes

You should be at same patch level.
