Dear All,

I installed OpenPS4MSP and I'm using MS Project 2007 with SAP GUI version 640. When I tried to connect to SAP using MSP, it gives the following message "Cannot create ActiveX component" and the connection doesnu2019t get established. (I tried the same using MSP 2003, but the same message appears)

Please help.

Hi,

Please check the following:

- Please download the latest version of the OpenPS interface from

the service marketplace.

https://service.sap.com

-> Download

-> Installations and Upgrades

-> Entry by Application Group

-> choose "Supplementary Components for Cross Industry Solutions"

-> Project Management

-> Open PS

-> Open PS for MS Project

- Kindly install the latest version of SAP Gui 7.10 (patch 2 or higher)

- Please ensure, that the user has the authorization to use RFC.

- When the message further persists, please try the following:

Can you run the BAPI -> BAPI_PROJECTDEF_EXISTENCECHECK

in the backend R/3 system with the project you are trying to

download ?

Amit and Nag Thanks for the replies. With the installation of 7.10 managed to solve the issue.
