Hi Varun,
In CA02 transaction, you can assign the work center to various
operations and activities. These will be attached to the bom
containing the components.

Hi Thamizhchelvan G,
The storage resource is not characterized by a separate resource type. Instead, it is a resource with additional storage characteristics (container resource). Hence you can select work center category as per your own logic and assign it
in the bom and routing using transactions ca02 & cs02. The resource type does not involve in any planning
funcitonality.
Please confirm whether your queries are resolved.

Hi Senthil -
Can you please let me know where can I assign a WC to a BOM? I know we can assign it in a recipe as a secondary resource but where can I assign it in the BOM? This post mentions that we can assign it as a sub-item, but I am not sure how this can be done.
Appreciate it if you can help me out.
Thanks
Varun
Hi Thamizhchelvan G,
In APO, the resource category is S for storage resources.
You need to create the work center in ECC and assign it
the product in the BOM. Once it is done, maintain the
bom and routing fully and cif it to APO
It goes as PPM to APO.
In APO, you can analyse the resource situation using
transaction /sapapo/rpt or in the SNP planning book
with capcity view 2.
