Sample Size

Dear All,

For the material 1010569 we GRN a Qty of 300yds. For the Inspection Plan i assigned a sampling procedure with Fixed Sample and gave 10 (sample size). Now once GRN when i check the QA03 inspection lot sample size shows as 10 (which is the correct size). Now when i go to the QE51N screen, there in the Inspect column also 10 shows. I assume there 10 comes because of the sample size i gave as 10.

1. Am i correct?

2. What if i want to make the Inspect column qty change. How do i do that?

3. Is there a possibility for each inspection point results recording sapmle qty (Inspect Column) quantity change?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Inspect Column is there to mention the correct sample size taken for testing purpose. By default quantity calculated through sampling procedure would come. Based on the setting you make in MIC Control Indicators, you can increase/decrease/fix to sample size quantity during Results Recording.

1. QE51N screen, in the Inspect column shows 10 because of the sample size.

Yes u are correct.

2. If u want to inspect more than 10 then in inspection plan select 'scope not fixed' in control indicator of inspection characteristics.

u can enter many reading by doing this.

3. By the above method u can achive it.
