Dear All,
Good Morning.
Could you kindly give me brief details about the following questions:
1]What is the difference between "Configuration & Customization"?
2]What is the difference between "Implementation & Support project"?
Waiting for your reply.
All explanations are relevent to SAP(this is question of SDN).
Configuration: This is the initial process carried out to map business processes in the SAP system.
Customizing: This is one of the processes to change standard SAP software. This is the initial step to be done before we go for any development.
Implementation: This is one of the steps in the ASAP process . This is just the step before the SAP system is going productive.
Support: This is the last step in the ASAP process. After the SAP system is productive there needs to be support for any problems that arise eventually.(so called bug fixing)

Customizing software means, basically, writing new programming code. The advantage of custom software is that in theory you get exactly what meets your requirements.
Configuration is the opposite of customization. Configurable software has the flexibility to adapt and tailor the system to fit a companys particular Business process.
Implementation Is Developing the systrem From Scrap where as support in fixing any bugs/ Doing any extension work for already implemented project.
