SAP is not getting up

Dear All,

We are facing problem in solution manager the dispachedt is not getting up .

We a ruing win 2003 server the error *** ERROR => Invalid profile parameter dbms/type (or environment variable dbms_type) = <undef>, cannot load DB library

I have check the parameter dbms is set =ORA and oracle ,sap services are up and running

Please suggest

Hi,

Is this happening after database patch upgrade?

And send us the logs of r3trans -dx and dev_w0

Mean while restart your server and try to startsap.

Kumar,

What is the trace dev_rd. Dispatcher trace should be named as dev_disp and workprocess trace should be named as dev_wx. Anyway from this trace file it seems your ABAP is active, but problem with Java.

Is your ABAP log-on screen coming when you start SAP? Also could you please attach dispatcher and message server trace files if it is not.

You need to set environment variable dbms_type and then try

e.g. Your database is oracle then set the variable

dbms_type=ora
