Hi Folks,

Currrently I'm working on a scenario in which I'm send 4 IDOCs from R/3 system to PI 7. System and also receivng 2 IDOC from PI system. What all configuration I need to please suggest.

The config I hav already done :

R/3 :

1. Created RFC destination pi_800

2. Created port pi_80_800

3. created logical system piclnt800

4. Created Partner profile piclnt800

with 4 outbound and 2 inbound mesage types

5. Create modelview with 4 message types ( outbound idocs defined in the partner profile) and distributed it

PI 7.0:

1. created a RFC DESTINATION ecc_800

2. created a port ecc_80_800 with rfc destination ecc_800.

What else I need to do and what else I did is it right ?

Regards

Hi,

All look good.. go ahead and test you interfaces..

plz check whether the user given in pi_800 has sufficient authorizations to push you idoc from ecc to pi system.

Also you can cross check using these blogs:

I have 4 idoc which are being sent from r/3 to xi and 2 which are being sent from xi to R/3.

In the IDX what all idocs I have to maintain, I have to load the idocs which has to be sent to R/3 or

I have to load the idocs which has to be sent to XI or I have to load all the idocs.

Hi Santosh,

-->All the configurations which you configured are perfect. In addtion to that recheck the below steps:

-->In Your PI system import the IDOC metadata using IDX2.

-->In the PI system the Port which you created should be in the form of SAP+System ID of Target R/3 system(naming convention)

-->In that you need to maintain the RFC destination pointing to Target system.

Thanks

Hi,

Configuration and execution of IDOC -PI _ IDOC needs the following steps to be done.

Steps involved:

Source R/3 Configuration:

1. SM59 u2013 Creation of RFC Destination.

2. WE21 u2013 Creation of Port.

3. BD54 u2013 Creation of Logical Systems.

4. WE20 u2013 Creation of Partner Profiles.

Source XI Configuration:

1. SM59 u2013 Creation of RFC Destination.

2. BD54 u2013 Creation of Logical Systems.

3. IDX1 u2013 Creation of Port.

4. IDX2 u2013 Importing the Metadata of Source IDOC.

Target XI Configuration:

1. SM59 u2013 Creation of RFC Destination.

2. IDX1 u2013 Creation of Ports.

3. IDX2 u2013 Importing the Metadata of Target IDOC.

Target R/3 Configuration:

1. BD54 u2013 Creation of Logical Systems.

2. WE20 u2013 Creation of Partner Profiles

Then continue with the normal design and configuration steps and then test it, it should work fine.

Kalpana.
