Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)

Hi,

I configured below settings for rz10 and i configured all the settings in scot,but when iam sending mails to out side iam getting the error:Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final);mine server environment is windows and oracle.Can i have to check any thing in sap server level or in mail server,guide me for the same.

Rz10 :

is/SMTP/virt_host_1 *:25001

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 *:25000

icm/server_port_1 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000

Hi Kumar,

Have you created the default domain and completed the configuration in SICF.

Thanks for the reply,I configured as mentioned in SICF.mine is mail server address is 192.16.16.20,In scot i entred this ip address in default domain as well as in smtp connection i entered this ip address and port =25.can i have to check any thing sap server level or in mail server.guide me for the same,this is the first time iam doing mail configuring.

Hi,

Accordning to above message these are also parametrs i entered in RZ10 :

is/SMTP/virt_host_1 *:25001

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 *:25000

icm/server_port_1 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000

icm/server_port_3 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25001,TIMEOUT=180

icm/server_port_2 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=180

My server enviroment is windows with oracle.

Please check that the IP Address of your SAP system is populated on the Relay Agent of your SMTP Server. Also make sure that port 25 is open.

Thanku for reply,where I have to check the IP Address of SAP system is populated on the Relay Agent of SMTP Server. and port 25 is open.I maintained these below 2 services in etc/services on sap server:

smtp 25/tcp mail # Simple Mail Transfer

smtp 25/udp mail # Simple Mail Transfer

Guide me for the same whre i have to check.first time iam doing this activity,iam little bit confusing.

Does the user sending the mail have the e-mail address and method populated in SU01?

Also can you post the error on the SOST trace?
